Natural8 Rake Structure Explained

Natural8 cash games take 5% rake, with caps that depend on the stake and how many players are dealt in. Rush & Cash takes no rake below 6 players; tournaments charge a fee instead (e.g. $0.08 on a $1 event); the Bad Beat Jackpot and Cash Drop take an extra amount from pots of 30BB or more.

Hold'em cash game (6-max) rake caps

Every stake takes 5% of the pot, and the cap depends on how many players were dealt into the hand: fewer players, lower cap.

BlindsDefault buy-in2 players3 players4 players5+ players
$0.01/$0.02$0.50$0.05$0.10$0.15$0.20
$0.02/$0.05$1$0.13$0.25$0.38$0.50
$0.05/$0.10$2$0.25$0.50$0.75$1
$0.10/$0.25$5$0.50$1$1.50$2
$0.25/$0.50$10$1$2$3$4
$0.50/$1$20$1.25$2.50$3.75$5
$1/$2$40$1.50$3$4.50$6
$2/$5$1000.4BB0.8BB1.2BB1.6BB
$5/$10$2000.25BB0.5BB0.75BB1BB
$10/$20$5000.188BB0.375BB0.563BB0.75BB

Measured in big blinds, the lowest stakes have the highest caps: $0.20 at $0.01/$0.02 is 10BB, while $10/$20 is only 0.75BB. Micro-stakes players carry a heavier rake burden per big blind, so rakeback and bonuses matter more to them.

Other cash games

  • Hold'em 9-max with ante: 5%, with a 5+-player cap of $0.30 at the lowest stake and 1BB at $5/$10.
  • PLO / PLO-5 / PLO-6: 5%, with 5+-player caps from $0.06 at the lowest stake, $4 at $1/$2, 1.5BB at $2/$5 and $5/$10, and 1.25BB at $10/$20. See Omaha explained.
  • Short Deck: 5%, with 5+-player caps from $0.06 up to 1.5BB. See Short Deck explained.

Rush & Cash rake

$0.50/$1$40–$100$20–$100$3
$1/$2$80–$200$40–$200$6

Also 5%, and no rake at tables with fewer than 6 players. Note that the Rush & Cash cap is 3BB at every stake, which is lower than the regular tables at most stakes (e.g. $0.01/$0.02 regular tables cap at $0.20 with 5+ players); at $1/$2 both are $6. Format details in Rush & Cash.

These drops come on top of rake and flow back to players (bad-beat payouts, random Cash Drops of up to 600BB). Qualifying hands for the bad-beat payout are in Bad Beat Jackpot.

Does the EV graph include rake?

Cantonese-speaking players often ask whether Natural8's EV graph counts rake. PokerCraft has a results graph and EV-related stats, but the official pages we checked don't say whether the graph is before or after rake, so we won't draw a conclusion.

In concept: an EV graph replaces all-in results with "what you should have won given your equity", to strip out luck. If it's after rake, it will sit noticeably below a "no rake" version over time, by roughly the rake you've paid. To check for yourself, compare the graph over a period with the change in your cashier balance, or ask official support. The EV Cashout formula does explicitly deduct rake and the jackpot fee: [(Pot − Rake − Jackpot fee) × Equity] × 99%.

Rake also pays you back. Every $5 of net rake and tournament fees releases $1 of the first deposit Match Bonus (see the first deposit bonus), and every $1 of rake earns 100 Tide Points (see Ocean Rewards rakeback).

FAQ

How much is Natural8 rake?
Cash games (Hold'em, Omaha, Short Deck, Rush & Cash) are all 5%, with a cap that varies by stake and number of players dealt — for example, at NL2 ($0.01/$0.02) the cap with 5+ players is $0.20. Tournaments don't take rake; they charge an entry fee.
What does "1BB" mean at Natural8?
Most often it's the Bad Beat Jackpot drop: once a pot reaches 30BB or more, 1BB goes into the jackpot fund (0.8BB at 9-max). Separately, the rake cap at $5/$10 Hold'em 6-max with 5+ players also happens to be exactly 1BB.
What is the Rush & Cash rake?
5%, with caps from $0.06 at $0.01/$0.02 up to $6 at $1/$2, and no rake below 6 players. Pots of 30BB or more also put 0.5BB into the Cash Drop fund.
Does the Natural8 EV graph include rake?
PokerCraft has a results graph and EV-related stats, but the official pages we checked don't say whether the graph is before or after rake. You can check yourself by comparing the graph over a period with the change in your cashier balance — or ask official support.
What is the Spin & Gold rake?
The official Spin & Gold page doesn't publish the fee, and we won't guess. The client shows the fee when you buy in — go by that.
