Natural8 vs GGPoker: What's the Difference?

Natural8 and GGPoker are on the same GGPoker network, share the GGPass account system, and both run the network-wide series. The difference is positioning: Natural8 targets Asia, with its own new-player bonuses, Ocean Rewards rakeback, Asia-only freerolls and the Team Hot ambassadors.

The short answer

Natural8 isn't a "copy" of GGPoker, and it isn't the identical site either: it's the GGPoker network's brand for Asia. The software, account system and network series are the same; new-player bonuses, rakeback, promotions, languages and ambassadors are separate.

Comparison table

Where the real differences are

1. Bonuses and rakeback are separate

Natural8's first deposit bonus is a choice of two under "Choose your bonus" in the cashier, with no code needed, and the 30-day Honeymoon is worth up to $400. Rakeback runs through Natural8's own Ocean Rewards, where rake earns Tide Points across 8 tiers. Natural8 also notes that offers "may differ based on the player's country of residence". See the first deposit bonus and rakeback explained.

2. Events and promotions aimed at Asia

Natural8 has freerolls its site labels as Natural8-only, APT qualifiers split by country, and livestream promotions on its Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand Twitch channels and its Vietnam Facebook page. The big network series are open on both sites.

3. Languages and regions

Natural8's site only comes in English, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese — no Simplified Chinese. From a region it doesn't serve (for example when we tested from Poland), the download page suggests you play on GGPoker instead.

Can you use both accounts?

1. You can hold both. Natural8's help centre says you can hold a Natural8 account and another GG-network account, and GGPass also lets players hold more than one regional account.
2. Not logged in at the same time. Only one can be logged in at any moment.
3. No double entries. You can't enter or re-enter the same event from both accounts.
4. Exception: if either account is an SMR (real-name) account, or has been suspended or banned, you may not hold the other.

Which one should you choose?

• You're in Asia and your country is in the sign-up list: choose Natural8 for 200% up to $1,000 or the $100 Free Bonus, Asia-only freerolls and country APT qualifiers. Sign-up steps are in the sign-up guide.
• Natural8 doesn't accept your country and sends you to GGPoker: then GGPoker is your only option — check first whether your local law allows it.
• You can sign up for both: the series are largely the same, so compare the new-player bonus and rakeback. We couldn't verify GGPoker's terms, so check them on its own site.

Whichever you pick, online poker is illegal in places such as mainland China — read the country-by-country legal guide before you start. For Natural8's licence and money safety, see the Natural8 review.

Natural8 vs Ototoy?

Some people search for the difference between Natural8 and Ototoy. We checked Natural8's site, help centre and terms and found no mention of Ototoy, so we can't confirm what it is or whether it's on the GGPoker network, and we don't compare them. Be extra careful with unknown sites that claim to be "the same company" as a big room.
